Whilst disposable vape products have proven to be extremely popular amongst adult smokers in the UK looking to quit their habits, due to their ease of use and cost effectiveness compared to conventional cigarettes, there is growing evidence that children have latched onto this vaping category and that many UK non-compliant products and fakes are entering the country.

VapeWatch is designed to help key stakeholders – parents, educators, retailers, wholesalers and distributors– to stamp out under-age and illegal sales of disposable vapes.

Drawing on compliance expertise within the vaping sector, best practice schools initiatives and parenting approaches, as well as credible information resources that have been developed by the industry, VapeWatch has been designed to:

identify disposable vape products that should not be on sale in UK vape shops, convenience stores or supermarkets
equip parents, teachers and those trading in vapes with the knowledge and means to report the supply or sale of illegal products to the authorities
enable parents, teachers, members of the public and retailers to report retail outlets that are clearly selling products to those younger than 18 years of age
support parent-child conversations around vaping
support educators in keeping vaping out of school and colleges
